In Conan the Defender, Conan becomes caught in the upheaval surrounding Belverus and its royal court. Traps, political scheming and a supernatural adversary test the Cimmerian as he tries to survive a threat that ordinary strength cannot settle. This is Robert Jordan’s second Conan novel; read Conan the Invincible first.
