A high-school hostage crisis becomes the setting for an unsettling account of resentment, violence and the relationships inside a classroom. King published this independent novel under the Richard Bachman name in 1977. His official bibliography states that he has withdrawn it from future printings. It remains a bibliographical entry here, with no claim that a current retail edition is available.
