Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports is book 3 in the Maximum Ride sequence. A nine-novel science-fiction sequence following Max and her flock; the publisher numbers the novels one through nine. It follows School’s Out—Forever and should be read after that volume. Readers new to the series should begin with The Angel Experiment and follow the numbered publication order, which preserves the characters’ continuing development and the story’s intended progression.
