This collection includes The Mist alongside a range of other shorter works. The Mist follows people sheltering in a supermarket as an unnatural fog changes the world outside. The other pieces are not sequels to that novella. A separately issued edition of The Mist contains overlapping material, so readers who already own Skeleton Crew do not need both to read that story.
