The Final Warning is book 4 in the Maximum Ride sequence. A nine-novel science-fiction sequence following Max and her flock; the publisher numbers the novels one through nine. It follows Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports and should be read after that volume. Readers new to the series should begin with The Angel Experiment and follow the numbered publication order, which preserves the characters’ continuing development and the story’s intended progression.
