Wheels of Fire

When Cindy Chase searches for her abducted son, Jamie, she finds herself up against a religious cult and the people who have taken him. Mercedes Lackey and Mark Shepherd place this rescue story inside the SERRAted Edge world, where elves and their human allies use courage, speed, and magic to protect children. Its focus on a mother’s search gives the series another angle on its concern with young people in danger. Read after Born to Run in publication order.
