Decision at Doona

A human settlement and an alien community both claim the same remote planet, forcing two societies to decide whether they can share it. Decision at Doona establishes the central first-contact premise and begins the three-book Doona sequence. Anne McCaffrey wrote this first novel; the two later books were co-written with Jody Lynn Nye.
