This Scepter'd Isle

The FarSeers glimpse two possible futures for England: one flourishing under a red-haired queen, the other darkened by religious persecution. Denoriel, an elf warrior, is sent to protect the infant Elizabeth and keep the brighter future alive. Mercedes Lackey and Roberta Gellis begin the Doubled Edge sequence with an alternate-history fantasy rooted in the Tudor court and the conflict between the Bright and Dark Courts. The official author page identifies this as Book 1; read it before Ill Met by Moonlight.
