The Doubled Edge is the historical strand of Elves on the Road, set in Tudor England, where the Bright and Dark Courts watch the fate of Princess Elizabeth. Mercedes Lackey and Roberta Gellis follow elf protector Denoriel and the shifting schemes around the English succession. The books are part of the wider Elves on the Road setting but have their own historical setting and sequence.
